PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS?
Why does this even matter?!
Stress heavily contributed to my developing an episode of major depression and to my nearly ending my own life on 3/16 of 2011 despite the major wins I had been experiencing in my life.
I had just finished my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and started my dream job of helping people improve their mental health. Despite those wins, depression doesn’t discriminate and I experienced a very brutal major depressive episode for the third time in my life…THIRD time!!
I have since then been very grateful to be alive, and have harnessed the power of gratitude.
Gratitude has tremendously transformed my life and heavily contributed to my happiness and joy. Loving myself more consistently has had a little (ok, maybe a lot) of something to do with it as well.
It has been proven time and time again that practicing gratitude SIGNIFICANTLY reduces stress, and guess what, taking the time to do so is a great step toward loving yourself like your life depends on it… BECAUSE IT DOES. And the more you love yourself, YOU recognize when enough is enough and TAKE THE STEPS to reduce your stress.
We are all about helping you with those steps…because YOU matter!!

My name is Sophia and yes, I'm a real human being…One with her own scars and vulnerability, combined with a fearlessness to be authentic and speak her truth.
I combine my experience overcoming depression and suicide with my Masters level Counselling my training and my Certified Life Coaching training to help my clients feel lighter, free, and alive.
